Jigardan Gadhavi, who has always grabbed the attention of his ardent music lovers through his hits, has carved a special place in the hearts of audiences across the globe with both his film tracks and music albums. Like every year, this year too the singer has made Navratri more extravagant with his latest release titled ‘Ramo Re’. Talking exclusively with ETimes, he opened up about the song, its making, and the vision behind it. Interestingly, the track also features Janki Bodiwala in the lead.Sharing his journey of creating ‘Ramo Re’, Jigardan said, “Last year, after I released ‘Chaniya Choli’ which people praised a lot and showered lots of love and later went on to become a super-duper hit song. I want to say thank you so much to all of you. And then when I got this track, I wanted to make something even bigger and I thought let’s create a track that feels grander than ‘Chaniya Choli.’ In that, I wanted to explore Shringar Ras, so I took that emotion and tried to write this song ‘Ramo Re’.Talking about the lyrics, “It portrays the love which often bursts out during the wedding period, where the boy confesses his feelings and the girl says that if he truly wants her, he must ask her parents’ permission. The tradition is deeply rooted in our culture and I wanted to bring this traditional essence into the lyrics. The song’s vocals are by Kavya Limaye and I have also composed the music.Talking about the experience with Janki sharing the screen space, Jigardan shared, “Janki has done a great job, and she looks absolutely fabulous in the video. This is our first Navratri song together, and creating it was a special experience.The ‘Chaniya Choli’ singer stated about the making, “The song set was made in just two to three days, with every detailed work. It was also the first time I worked with such a big team and this entire making process was even more fun.”“I usually dance only once a year for my fans, so I decided to bring that element into this song as a way to connect with them, the singer concluded.
