The outcry was instant, with public figures expressing condolences and indignation over the shooting. Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump‘s policies, was one of the celebrities who quickly spoke out about Kirk’s assassination.
