Jodie Foster was photographed walking with a cane while on a grocery run with her wife, Alexandra Hedison, in New York City.
The “Silence of the Lambs” star had her hands full as she held onto several bags and stopped several times to rest on Tuesday.
At one point, she called Hedison to help her.
Foster, 63, stepped out wearing green pants, a white T-shirt and a denim button-up for the daytime outing.
As for Hedison, 56, she sported black pants and a brown jacket.
It’s unclear why the “Taxi Driver” star was holding a cane, and her rep wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Foster, however, wasn’t seen using a cane when she was spotted in Beverly Hills, California, in March.
The “Brave One” star previously used crutches when she underwent knee surgery following a ski injury in 2018.
At the time, she appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and shared that she got a new ACL made up of cadaver parts and titanium steel.
Foster and Hedison, meanwhile, tied the knot in 2014.
The “Accused” star is also the mom to two sons, Charlie and Christopher “Kit” Bernard Foster, with whom she shares with ex Cydney Bernard. The duo dated from 1993 to 2008.
Foster’s kids tend to keep out of the spotlight and she previously revealed how they once thought she was a construction worker.
Talking about how she wanted them to live a normal life, she told the “View” hosts in 2024, “I wanted them to know me as their mom and the person who went away to work and stuff.”
“I brought [Charlie] to set one day and I bought him a little plastic tool belt and stuff,” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘Yeah, and this is this set and this set and this set.’ And for a really long time, he thought I was a construction worker.”
Foster’s sons rarely step out with her, though Charlie made a rare red carpet appearance with her at the 2025 SAG Awards.
