Joel Dommett has recalled the moment he “nearly died” after being attacked by a dog on ITV’s Celebrity Sabotage. The new celebrity reality show sees a group of celebrities get together as they prank members of the public in order to win them prizes.
Joining Dommett on the show are I’m A Celebrity stars Sam Thompson and GK Barry, and Loose Women panellist Judi Love.
As “saboteurs”, the celebrity contestants are tasked with targeting people who think they are taking part in real ITV game shows.

Included in the upcoming series, which is set to debut on ITV on Saturday 21 March at 8pm, is a spoof series named Couple Goals, hosted by Matt and Emma Willis.
The lineup also features a parody of The Apprentice titled The Applicant, hosted by former Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, alongside a Traitors-inspired show called The Backstabs, presented by Rylan Clark.
In order to add money to the prize pot, the celebrity saboteurs must disrupt the contestants by pulling off undetected pranks, with the money being shared among contestants as the episode ends.
Speaking to The Sun, Dommett said he was attacked by a Great Dane while disguised as a dog toy.
Describing the incident, he said: “There was a Great Dane and I was dressed as dog toys.
“It’s genuinely one of the most frightening moments of my life. GK was there trying to distract the owner while I was dressed as dog toys, trying to get a collar off the dog without being noticed.

“The dog had a wig on! I was dressed as dog toys. Obviously, the dog just wanted to eat me. I nearly died,” he quipped.
Speaking about the practical joke series, which serves as a modern take on the 1990s prank show Beadle’s About, Dommett teased fans with what to expect,
He said: “It is absolute madness. It’s honestly the most I’ve laughed in ages.”
Celebrity Sabotage airs on ITV on Saturday 21 March at 8pm.
