John Cena Creatively Murders A Guy With Pencils and a Copy Machine On Peacemaker

The latest episode of Peacemaker saw John Cena’s titular character get pretty creative in killing his opposition.

This week’s episode, titled “Another Rick Up My Sleeve,” saw Cena’s Peacemaker/Christopher Smith navigating his way through an alternate dimension where he’s actually a hero who is appreciated by his community. In one scene, he’s sitting on a bench with an alternate version of Amelia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) when an explosion sends them flying across the park.

Jumping into action, Peacemaker scales a building to stop terrorists who have rigged a bomb in an adjacent building. Cena’s Smith makes his way through the building, picking each adversary off, one by one. He ends up with two particularly gruesome kills by using some pencils and a copy machine as his weapon of choice.

The first one sees Peacemaker use a copy machine as a shield from one of the intruders, who is holding an automatic machine gun. Peacemaker brutally smashes the machine into the man, which breaks the wall behind him. Peacemaker keeps hitting him, wrestling the gun away (and turning it to kill another intruder waiting behind the door). Finally, Cena dropkicks the man through the wall, crushing his chest and head.

The next death sees Peacemaker grab a handful of pencils from a desk before hiding on top of a light fixture hanging from the ceiling. When the terrorist trying to find him walks in the room, Cena swings down, he stabs pencils into each ear canal, twisting them around as the gun in the terrorist’s hand fires until he dies.

Season two of Peacemaker has been exciting, to say the least. So far, we’ve seen Peacemaker (accidentally) murder his alternate dimension self, host a drug-fueled orgy and reunite with characters that were believed to be dead. Next week’s episode is sure to be even more exciting, as Peacemaker left the alternate dimension, but he has trouble waiting at home for him.

New episodes of Peacemaker premiere on HBO Max on Thursday nights.
