Comedian John Oliver has launched a scathing attack on White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
Oliver, the host of HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, is known for his sharp criticism of President Trump’s administration. This time, he took aim at Miller, playing a clip of Miller telling Memphis police officers that “we are so much more hardcore than they are.”
Commenting on Miller’s remarks and demeanor, Oliver didn’t mince words, declaring, “What a f—ing loser.” He then added, “In a speech that I’m sure sounded tough in his head.”
He continued his critique, pointing to a photo of Miller from the event and saying, “I’ve got to say, at this point, white supremacists just have to be embarrassed, right? This is your champion, right here?”
“A man who looks like he still has a soft spot on his skull?!?” he added.
“If ICE can show up and bother some guys at their roofing job, then bystanders should be able to bother ICE at their state-sanctioned kidnapping job. It is only fair,” Oliver stated.
“And look, this administration is clearly still hell-bent on trying to intimidate communities with shows of force, which is why it is so important for them to be met with strong pushback each and every time,” he continued.
Last month, he also criticized President Trump, calling him a “bully” as he defended his close friend Jimmy Kimmel after his show was pulled from ABC. During his show, he used a segment to discuss Kimmel’s suspension and criticize Trump in the process.
He also encouraged Disney to support Kimmel and informed his viewers that they could express their frustration in various ways, such as canceling their Disney+ subscriptions.
