John Stamos is not mincing words when it comes to his pal Lori Loughlin’s soon-to-be ex-husband Mossimo Giannuli.
The actor defended his Full House co-star during an appearance on Josh Peck and Ben Soffer’s Good Guys podcast on Monday. Lori and Mossimo were involved in Operation Varsity Blues, better known as the college admisions scandal, for which they both served time behind bars. The couple recently announced they have split up after almost 30 years of marriage.
Despite Lori pleading guilty, John claims that Lori was “dragged” into the scheme by Mossimo, who he referred to as a “terrible narcissist.”
In 2019, Lori and Mossimo were indicted by the FBI in a nationwide college bribery operation after they reportedly paid half a million daughters to get their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, into the University of Soutern California as fake crew recruits.
The actress served two months in prison while her fashion designer husband served five.
John continued to go off on Lori’s estranged husband during the podcast. He said, “Honest to God truth I pray for this guy. I pray that he gets ahold of his whatever hole that he’s trying to fill, however he’s trying to fill it.
“I pray that he realizes what he had was everything that anyone could ever hope for and that he gets some help. I think this guy needs help. Whatever negativity or hardships that you’ve been through in your life is connected to this guy, you know. Like, I mean,” he added.
When Ben suggests that Mossimo may have been unfaithful to Lori, John quickly says, “I’m taking the fifth on that.” Regardless, he claims “Whatever he did to her it busted her up to the core” and that she “put up with a lot over the years.”
“Look, he’s a very successful dude. I will never talk to him again,” John said. “He’s a terrible narcissist and I don’t think you ever get out of that.”
