Disney’sPirates of the Caribbean franchise released its last installment in 2017, and different continuations have been rumored ever since. While a strict Pirates of the Caribbean 6 has gone through different iterations, a spinoff was also talked about, and there was always an ongoing debate about whether franchise lead Johnny Depp would return. A new report suggests that some of these ideas are being combined.
According to The InSneider, following Josh D’Amaro‘s succession of Bob Iger as Disney’s CEO, Pirates of the Caribbean is a priority for him and Walt Disney Company president and Cco Dana Walden.
