TV personality Judge Judy Sheindlin showed off a completely different look as she stepped out for a rare outing with her husband, Jerry Sheindlin.
The 83-year-old, who was the star of the reality court show, Judge Judy, and her husband of nearly 50 years were spotted enjoying a pizza lunch date in Beverly Hills, California, on Monday, November 10.
The TV star had her short, dark locks pulled back into a ponytail and wore dark-rimmed eyeglasses for the outing with her 91-year-old husband.
The two attorneys, who have married each other twice, enjoyed an al fresco meal at Mulberry Street Pizza. They sat in the pizzeria’s outdoor dining area and washed down their pie with Snapple iced tea.
They held hands as they left with a to-go bag. Judy was not wearing her signature black robe; instead, she donned a colorful long-sleeve top, dark-colored pants, and white sneakers.
Meanwhile, Jerry also wore a relaxed style, featuring a blue-collar shirt, slacks, and black sneakers.
Judy is rarely seen out in public, despite her decades-long career on TV.
The couple was last photographed strolling down the sidewalk in Los Angeles in November 2022.
Judy had a noticeable tan after a Bahamas getaway, which she had shortly before celebrating her birthday.
Judy and her husband have been married for nearly 50 years, although their marriage has included a one-year divorce and remarriage. They first married in 1977, divorced in 1990, and remarried in 1991.
In January 2024, Judy spoke candidly with E! News about how she has sustained her marriage to Jerry for multiple decades.
“You don’t spend 24 hours together because that’s deadly,” she said. “Jerry just celebrated his 90th birthday and I still like to look at him when he walks in the room—that’s a key.”
The couple’s short split brought them even closer.
“I missed her presence the very first week that we were separated,” Jerry said in Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue’s What Makes A Marriage Last.
“It was the first time in years that we didn’t get to see each other every single day. It was such a strange experience.”
Judy originally wanted the break because she wanted her husband to put in more effort to “take care of her.” She ultimately decided to give their connection another shot.
“I missed him,” she said in the book, while also mentioning that her husband began to put in a little more effort.
“He did learn to use a calendar better. He learned to write down: ‘October 21, Judy’s birthday. Buy present, card.'”
The couple shares several children together. This includes Jamie Hartwright, 58, and Adam Levy, 56, from Judy’s marriage to Ronald Levy, as well as Gregory Sheindlin, 60, Jonathan Sheindlin, 57, and Nicole Sheindlin, 56, from Jerry’s marriage to Suzanne Rosenthal.
