Julia Fox recently shut down people’s misconceptions about her lifestyle. For her latest interview with Us Weekly, the “Presence” actor claimed that she is quite “down-to-earth.” She further said that people may think that she does “drugs or party a lot” because of her image as a Hollywood It girl, but that’s not the reality.
Fox explained, “Sometimes I see stuff and I’m just like, Wow. If only you knew.” She then expressed wishing she were “that exciting and interesting.” However, the model also dismissed the misconception about her “party girl” image, revealing, “I’m very much a mom; my life revolves around my child and doing child-centered activities.” Fox is mother to a 4-year-old son, Valentino, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Peter Artemiev.
“I’m not this raging party girl that I think people think I am. Sorry,” she continued. “I wish I was, though.” Fox then disclosed, “I’ve just been me this entire time.” While talking about what other people think about her, she added, “That’s their business.”
During the interview, the actor also went candid about people still finding it hard to “conceive of her evolution.” She stated, “There’s people that just, you know, hate women and hate anyone who’s different or doesn’t conform, or doesn’t live to please the male gaze.” She further noted that “they get offended,” and “that does something to their ego and the way they were raised to believe women should exist.” However, Fox is very much “happy to shatter that [notion] for them.”
