Julia Roberts gave an update on “Ocean’s 14” on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet Sunday night — including which of her co-stars might hold up filming on the upcoming sequel.
“It’s trucking along. It’s a lot of people to schedule,” Roberts, 58, said during her interview with Entertainment Tonight. “That was eternally the hard part,” she shared. “So we’re working on that.”
The “Pretty Woman star continued, “I think Brad works the most. So his schedule is probably the trickiest.
“He’s not holding it up!” Roberts clarified. “He’s just so popular.”
Roberts starred in Steven Soderbergh’s three “Ocean’s” movies alongside Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, who are all set to reprise their roles in “Ocean’s 14.”
During a separate interview with Variety at the Golden Globes, Roberts confirmed she’s read the script for the forthcoming film.
“Yes, I have seen a script. And I was kind of surprised, because I was like, ‘Oh, what is the story going to be?’ And it’s good,” she said. “I mean, we wouldn’t do it if it’s not good.”
While speaking to “Extra,” Roberts admitted she doesn’t know when the movie will go into production.
“We’re still trying to work out the schedules for every one of the ‘Ocean’s’ movies. That was the hardest bit. So, that’s where we are now, but we’ll figure it out,” she stated.
The heist franchise started with “Ocean’s Eleven,” in 2001, which was a remake of the 1960 movie starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.
It was followed by “Ocean’s Twelve” in 2004, and “Ocean’s Thirteen” in 2007.
In 2018, there was also an “Ocean’s 8” starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna.
Clooney, 64, has given multiple updates on “Ocean’s 14” in the last few months.
“We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up,” the “Jay Kelly” actor told E! News in October. “It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us … probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting.”
He told Variety last month that in the new movie, the aging heist crew has “lost a step” and “they need to find a way to work around their limitations.”
Pitt, meanwhile, addressed the possibility of doing “Ocean’s 14” last year with a funny jab at Clooney.
“Well, the problem is I’d have to then work with Clooney, and I’ve kind of sworn that off for health reasons,” the “F1” star quipped to E! News. “But if that were to happen, I do know that there is a script out there that Mr. Clooney has developed, and it’s pretty damn tasty.
“Ocean’s 14” does not yet have a release date.
