Justin Bieber is keeping Beliebers on their toes!

Not even two months after shocking the world with the surprise release of Swag, his first album in four years, the 31-year-old superstar just revealed that Swag II will be dropping at midnight on Friday, September 5.

The “Baby” singer announced the news in classic JB fashion — with billboards flashing his new album title and cover art around the world, a stunt he quickly showed off on Instagram. The pink-hued cover marks the only confirmed detail so far, as a full tracklist has yet to be revealed.

This is the second time in just a matter of months that Justin has blindsided fans with a no-warning album drop. When Swag landed earlier this summer, fans only had a few hours’ notice, with cryptic black-and-white billboards appearing in New York City to tease the release. That album included high-profile collaborations with Gunna, Sexyy Red, Druski, Dijon, Lil B, Cash Cobain, Eddie Benjamin, and Marvin Winans, among others.

Following Swag, Justin has been hard at work promoting the project. He rolled out music videos for singles like “Daisies” and “First Place,” both of which climbed the Billboard Hot 100. The “First Place” video even offered fans a glimpse inside Floki Studios in Iceland, where Bieber recorded much of the album — and possibly its sequel.

Rumors of Swag II began swirling almost immediately after the first album dropped, thanks to Justin’s steady stream of photos of himself in the studio on social media. Now, those hints have paid off, confirming that Beliebers won’t have to endure another long wait like they did after 2021’s Justice, which featured chart-toppers like “Peaches” and “Holy.”

Justice was also a turning point for the singer, who at the time opened up about the struggles he faced before returning to the studio. “I was dealing with a lot of fear,” he told Zane Lowe in 2020, reflecting on the difficulties of his canceled Purpose tour and health issues that followed.

That fear seems to be long gone, with Justin showing no signs of slowing down. As for what tracks will make the cut on the double album, only time will tell!
