Collin also claimed that his mom drove a “social barrier” between him and his siblings when he was sent away.
Kate did not participate in the Vice series, nor did she respond to BuzzFeed’s request for comment at the time. However, she has previously denied any claims of abuse, stating in 2016 that while she’d been “investigated many times,” the claims were “always unfounded.”

In Kate’s video, captioned “Kitchen Talk and Tips,” the mom of eight tidied her kitchen while detailing her busy day at work as a pediatric nurse.
Kate recently revealed that her time on reality TV hasn’t provided her with enough money to handle providing for her kids and court-related costs. She wrote in a TikTok comment, “Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS. Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for lawyers. It’s okay. I’m helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!”
