Kate Gosselin is offering a major update on her love life.
While doing a TikTok Q&A on Monday, September 22, Gosselin, 50, read a question from a fan who asked, “Are you dating?”
“The answer to that question is actually, finally, yes. I am dating somebody for the past year to a little over a year, maybe like 14, 15 months,” Kate shared. “I am super, super happy. It’s somebody that I’ve known for a really long time and I am very, very happy.”
While remaining tight-lipped about her boyfriend’s identity, Gosselin shared that he prefers to be out of the public eye.
“He doesn’t really want to be on TikToks. Can’t blame him really I guess, but you perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there or once in a while going forward,” she said.
The comments section was full of fans sending their well-wishes to Gosselin. “Aww I’m so glad you are dating. I always hoped you’d find a wonderful man who treats you well!❤,” one user wrote, while another added, “I love 2025 Kate. I’ve love all the Kate’s but this one is my fav🫶🏼.”
Kate rose to fame after welcoming sextuplets in 2004 with ex-husband Jon Gosselin, with whom she also shares twin daughters. The family’s TLC reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, premiered in 2007. Kate and Jon went on to divorce in 2009, and the show was renamed Kate Plus 8. After airing for six more seasons, the series ended in 2017.
In August, Kate reflected on her divorce while giving advice to her followers in a TikTok livestream.
“I don’t know if you have kids or don’t have kids, but I just, I made decisions based on how I would want to be treated, honestly. And I didn’t buy into all the drama and the hate, and the ugly. And I had kids involved, so I wanted it to be as peaceful for them as I possibly could,” Kate said, per People.
She continued, “I did not hire an attorney that wanted to stir up trouble; I just wanted it to be peaceful, and I wanted the best for my kids. A lot of things happened that I could not control that did not turn out well for my kids, but I did my best. We just got through it to the best of our ability.”
Kate claimed that the whole experience “could’ve been a lot calmer and a lot nicer if everybody was willing to play nice.”
