Kate Gosselin appeared to address estranged son Collin Gosselin’s recent TikTok video about his siblings.
Kate, 50, posted a lengthy video via her own TikTok account earlier this week showing herself loading the dishwasher after a day at work. “Kitchen Talk and Tips,” she captioned the clip.
However, one concerned fan was more interested in Kate’s thoughts on her son’s now-viral video. The TikTok user posted a screenshot from Collin’s video in the comments section, which elicited a response from Kate.
“He knows why,” she responded, alongside a crying emoji.

Collin posted a photo of himself alongside his seven siblings in his social media post, claiming that the kids were “forced apart” and “pitted against each other” after their parents’ divorce.
“Born to be a team, us against the world,” he wrote. “Forced to do it alone and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like.”
Kate and ex-husband Jon Gosselin rose to fame in the early 2000s with their TLC show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which showed their lives with eight kids: twins Mady and Cara, now 24, and sextuplets Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel, now 21. After Jon and Kate split in 2009, the show was renamed to Kate Plus 8.
Amid the duo’s bitter divorce, Collin and his sister Hannah moved in with their dad full time while the other six children relocated to North Carolina with their mom. Collin has been vocal about his relationship with Kate, even alleging in October 2024 that she was physically abusive throughout his childhood.

“It was rough. I definitely went through it a lot as a kid from my mother’s end. So, it was tough,” Collin claimed during an interview with The U.S. Sun. “I just remember being isolated from my siblings and constantly taking the fall for her emotions or the tough things going on in her life.”
He alleged that Kate put him in an isolation room “multiple times” when he was younger, further claiming that she allegedly “zip-tied my hands and feet together and bolt locked the door, turned the lights off and had cameras there just watching me.”

Kate has vehemently denied the abuse allegations.
Kate’s apparent response to Collin’s TikTok comes after she offered fans an update on her life after reality TV, revealing that she renewed her nursing license and works 12-hour shifts with patients.
When asked in the comments section why she returned to nursing, Kate explained that “reality TV doesn’t pay as well as it should when you have to provide for 8 kids on your own.”
