Kate Hudson Styles Valentino for ‘Song Sung Blue’ NYC Premiere

Kate Hudson channeled romance and modern elegance in Valentino for the “Song Sung Blue” premiere in New York City on Thursday night alongside her mother Goldie Hawn and more.

Styled by Sophie Lopez, the Oscar-nominated “Almost Famous” star wore a green gown with a plunging neckline and a silky sash at the waist, styling contrasting fabric with varying shades of lime and chartreuse. The dress flowed at the skirt, creating a small train effect that trailed Hudson as she walked the red carpet.

Overtop the dress, Hudson wore a soft pink, semi-sheer cape, inspired by a piece from Valentino’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Anchoring the cape was a velvety black collar. As for accessories, Hudson wore a pair of earrings by Mindi Mond.

For glam, Hudson opted for simplicity, with makeup featuring bold brows, lightly lined eyes and a subtle glossy lip. Her hair featured one of several 2025 trends — the slicked back bun, which gave the entire look a refined quality.

The actress posed for photos with her mom, Oscar winner Goldie Hawn, on the red carpet. Hawn brought sparkle and shine to her look, wearing a black ensemble with allover shimmering and a semi-sheer blouse with strings of silver glittering elements.

Hudson’s “Song Sung Blue” promotional tour wardrobe has been full of designer pieces inspired by the runway and custom-designed for the actress. Prior to the New York City premiere of the film, Hudson made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in a look by Fendi. She’s also worn pieces by Stella McCartney and Vera Wang, among other designers, over the last few weeks.

Directed by Craig Brewer, “Song Sung Blue” follows Claire and Mike, played by Hudson and Hugh Jackman, a couple who form a Neil Diamond tribute band and experience success and hardship in equal measure. The film hits theaters Dec. 25.
