On June 2, Middleton attended a reception commemorating the 125th anniversary of the charity Cancer Research UK. She attended the event alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family (via PEOPLE).
The occasion was special because this was the first time Middleton attended a cancer-related event after her own diagnosis. The Princess of Wales donned a red silk midi skirt dress with heart-shaped polka dots strewn across the outfit by Rodarte.
Notably, it was the first time that Middleton wore the American brand founded in 2001 by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. For those unversed, the Princess of Wales typically prefers UK-based designers, and when travelling to foreign countries, she often wears creations by local designers. However, the Rodarte dress was actually the second time in recent weeks that Middleton has worn a creation by an American designer.
Previously, the royal princess showed off a beautiful skirt by LA-based designer Jenni Kayne during her visit to Italy. Hence, Middleton has sparked speculation that a visit to the U.S. to mark its 250th anniversary and the upcoming World Cup celebrations might be on the cards.
