Katie Thurston’s husband, Jeff Arcuri, is supporting her in such a thoughtful way as she battles cancer.
On Monday, August 25, Arcuri, 37, revealed that he would be donating $1 of every ticket sold for his upcoming comedy tour — which will include his Netflix taping — to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF.)
“As tickets go on sale, I’m proud to share that $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to @bcrfcure, in honor of my wife and all those fighting breast cancer,” Arcuri wrote via Instagram Story alongside a photo of Thurston, 34.
BCRF is a non-profit organization that raises money to support clinical and translational research on breast cancer at medical institutions all over the world.
Thurston, for her part, took to her own Instagram account to share the news.
“I’ve been trying my hardest to keep this a secret… @jarcuri is taping his special 📺! And even in his biggest moment of his career, he decided to selflessly dedicate $1 of every ticket sale to @bcrfcure 🎀 🥹 ,” she wrote on Monday alongside a photo of the couple and his tour schedule. “To my loving husband — I am so beyond proud of you and all the hard work you put into your craft. You are deserving of every bit of this continued success, and yet, in true Jeff fashion, you’ve chosen to share it, dedicating part of this milestone to a cause that is so personal to me.”
The former Bachelorette added that she hopes Arcuri’s “gift for creating laughter, heal others the way [he has] healed [her].”
She concluded her post, “Sincerely, Your biggest fan ❤️.”
In February, Thurston, 34, shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Nearly one month later, the former Bachelorette said her cancer had spread into her liver, making it stage 4.
“I know stage four can sound very scary, and it can be,” she said in an Instagram video in April. “However, given that I am triple positive and the spots on my liver are fairly small and detected early, I feel very optimistic on my outcome.”
Arcuri, who tied the knot with Thurston in March, has continued to be a positive light for his wife throughout her treatment, even rescheduling his tour dates to be with her.
“A few days ago, my fiancée Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer,” he wrote in a February Instagram post. “This is an incredibly challenging time for both of us, and as she embarks on this difficult journey, I’ve made the decision to be by her side every step of the way. To my fans in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan: I regret to inform you that my upcoming shows will be rescheduled.”
The comedian noted that the fans would “receive an email with all the details” and thanked them for their “patience,” “love” and “unwavering support.”

“It means the world to both of us,” he added.
Although the twosome only got engaged in August 2024, Arcuri and Thurston decided to tie the knot in March with a future big ceremony to come.
“She’s been my wife since the day I met her. The ceremony was emotional, but only a temporary placeholder until the true celebration,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in April, noting he was most looking forward to “seeing [his] wife walk down the aisle” in their future wedding. “Not only will we get to celebrate our love with all those we love around us but also celebrate the completion of cancer treatment.”
Thurston has continued to keep her fans updated on her cancer journey, explaining in July that she will be sticking with her current treatment plan “for life.”
“As a stage 4 girly, I’ll be on a treatment plan for life, so it’s a win when something is working. It’s also why funding is so important for breast cancer research, because some of us run out of options for treatment,” she said in an Instagram Story at the time, while asking her followers for “positive thoughts, prayers, energy” and “spells.”
