The Grammy nominee attended the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of her latest concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour — Live from Paris.
During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Katy Perry revealed how he poses herself as a “strong, steady, and weird” role model for her daughter, Daisy Dove.
“I think when mothers can be their most supported, authentic selves, that is always a good template for children to model. And I’m just glad to model a strong, steady, intelligent, funny, weird woman for my beautiful daughter,” said Perry. Reflecting on the time she spent with her daughter on the road during tour, she added, “It’s always incredible when I get to bring my daughter to work.”
At one point during the conversation, the “Dark Horse” crooner also said of her daughter, “She’s a force. She tells me exactly what she thinks.” Moreover, she emphasized being the best version of herself for her child.
“I think, as mothers and fathers, we’re just modeling something for our children, and all we can hope for is that they will grow up into better versions of ourselves — and themselves,” Perry shared. “I think if I’m out there living my most authentic, free, supported, empowered, smart, sexy life, and she’s going to have a pattern to follow, a model to follow.”
Katy Perry split from her ex, Orlando Bloom, in July 2025, after almost a decade-long relationship. The former couple has since maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship for their daughter.
Meanwhile, the pop icon has since moved on to date former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The two recently also posed on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival.
