For Keith Urban, the past month has marked a significant reset—both personally and professionally.
Just weeks after finalizing his divorce from Nicole Kidman, the country star is also closing the book on a 25-year partnership with longtime manager Gary Borman. Borman announced his retirement and the closure of Borman Entertainment after five decades in the industry, bringing an end to one of Nashville’s longest artist-manager relationships.
“I’m so grateful to Gary (and my entire Borman Nashville family) for the most incredible and successful time together,” the 58-year-old said in a statement to Page Six released Sunday, February 22.
“It was extraordinary—what we were able to accomplish together—and I’ll forever be grateful for the creative and collaborative spirit we were all a part of for so long,” he added. “I wish Gary and everyone at Borman Entertainment the very best journey ahead and look forward to what the future holds for all of us.”

Borman, whose career includes guiding artists like James Taylor and Faith Hill described his bond with Urban as very personal, saying they “shared a journey not unlike brothers.” He added, “The place that I have in my heart will remain warm and my mind filled with wonderful memories. I have been and will remain a fan.”
The timing has drawn attention, particularly as Urban continues touring his latest album, High and Alive. His divorce from Kidman was also finalized in late September after nearly 20 years of marriage. Reports indicated the two had spent the summer apart before she filed in Tennessee, citing irreconcilable differences.
In the days following the split, Urban appeared to let some raw emotion surface during a performance of his 2002 song “You’ll Think of Me,” swapping in the line “Take your space and all your stupid bulls**t reasons,” before telling the crowd, “You shouldn’t have treated me this way.” Fans quickly noticed the outburst and Urban spoke up about it a few weeks later at another tour stop. “I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading sh*t into it. It’s called ‘You’ll Think of Me,’” he stated.”
Kidman and Urban’s divorce was finalized on January 6, 2026. They share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
