Keke Palmer is taking her romance with Sean Evans “day by day.”
After she was spotted on what appeared to be a dinner date with the Hot Ones host, 40, at an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, the One of Them Days actress, 32, was asked by fellow podcast host Jay Shetty if she was “serious about Sean Evans” during Spotify’s Conversations That Channel Culture panel at Cannes Lions on Tuesday, June 23.
In response, Palmer simply said, “We hangin out, you know what I mean?”
“First of all, I love Sean Evans — I love Sean, hey Sean. That’s my guy,” she continued. “You never know what can arise from there. We just take it day by day. One wing at a time so to speak.”

Nine years after they first met to film their much-adored episode of Hot Ones, the pair’s instant chemistry had the internet swooning once again when Evans appeared on the May 26 episode of Palmer’s podcast, Baby, This is Keke Palmer.
On the podcast, Palmer and Evans discussed their nearly decade-long friendship and their viral chemistry. Evans even told Palmer that she is “obviously very charismatic,” adding, “you’re smart, you’re beautiful” while reflecting on why she was a perfect guest on his show.

Beyond their recurring appearances on each other’s shows, Evans called Palmer “very charming” while admitting that he had a bit of a crush on her during a 2023 appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg‘s Chicken Shop Date.
Two years after the moment made its rounds on social media, Palmer returned as a guest on Hot Ones and jokingly asked if they could “have a quick smooch to see if there’s a spark,” after which they did share a cheeky kiss.
Along with rewatching and reacting to the several clips encapsulating their undeniable chemistry in a video shared to social media last month, Palmer admitted that she wasn’t sure if Evans “had as much fun” as she did while filming their first episode all those years ago.

“I thought to myself like, ‘Yeah this is just how he is at the job,’ because you always were so professional and everything,” she said to Evans. “But I was feeling like, ‘Man, this is so much fun.”
Immediately, Evans emphasized that they were on the “same wavelength” and that he was “feeling the same exact thing.”
“I was gagged when you said that,” Palmer quipped. “I was like ‘Oh so it was special.’ ”
