Druski hosted the 2026 BET Awards on Sunday night.
Keke Palmer was confused about why she wasn’t asked to emcee the event.
The ‘Burbs star briefly took over Druski’s duties.
And the award for best host hijacking goes to… Keke Palmer!
Sunday’s 2026 BET Awards were emceed by popular internet comedian Druski, and while he turned in plenty of viral moments, the best bit belonged to Palmer, who was nominated for Best Actress.
When Druski approached Palmer in the audience, it didn’t take long for her to steal the show.
“This should’ve been my gig,” she declared, as she smoothly took the mic from Druski. “Why the hell would they have you host? And this is the problem with BET; they be trippin’, because this should have been me.”
And she’s not wrong, considering her decorated résumé. Among Palmer’s past successful hosting gigs are the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, a 2022 episode of Saturday Night Live, and the 2023 Soul Train Awards.
But Palmer didn’t just rely on her previous accomplishments, opting to show on Sunday what she can do.
“I’ve got it,” she told Druski, before doing a flawless introduction for Cardi B’s performance, earning rapturous cheers from the crowd.
