Following his demise, Dan Hollis, the Butte-Silver Bow County coroner in Montana, revealed that the talent manager’s cause of death was natural and due to melanoma.
Over a week after the tragedy, Blackstock’s official death certificate had finally been released.
Per the document obtained by PEOPLE Magazine, he passed away at about 11:13 am at his home in Butte, and his body was cremated without an autopsy.
The certificate also confirmed the coroner’s report, listing the cause of death as malignant melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer.
In addition to the disease, seizures were listed as “significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause.”

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she explained.
The singer noted that while she wasn’t one to bring her personal life to the public, it was important for her to let fans know what was happening.
