If Kevin Bacon could work from anywhere and do anything, he imagines a Caribbean beach and writing music for his band, The Bacon Brothers. It’s a fitting image for an artist who splits his time between film, television, and music — and now a new collaboration with T-Mobile.

Bacon stars in the carrier’s latest national campaign for SuperMobile, a business phone plan built for speed, security, and satellite coverage on T-Mobile’s network. The spot places him behind a desk that pops up in unlikely settings — a desert, a busy commuter train, a beach — underscoring the idea that work doesn’t have to stay in one place.

For Bacon, the campaign resonated because it mirrors his own balancing act.

“I am often on the road and having to work and stay connected, both from a business standpoint, but also creatively,” the actor tells Rolling Stone. “I’m playing in a band, and I’m in the middle of editing a movie right now. While I was on the road and, even when I was shooting the commercial, I was able to use my phone and get into the editing room remotely and work either from the trailer dressing room or in the car. I could completely stay connected to the process.”

The 67-year-old actor, best known for roles in Footloose and A Few Good Men, is keeping busy with multiple projects, including an upcoming horror film, The Toxic Avenger, and music with his brother, Michael, as The Bacon Brothers. The duo has kept busy this summer with weekend live performances and hopes to release a live album in the near future. They’ve also returned to the studio with a new song entitled “People of the World,” coming out soon.

And while Bacon is focused on his own music, he’s also found new favorites to stream. He recently did a deep dive on Sabrina Carpenter’s latest record, Man’s Best Friend, and was amused by “Never Getting Laid,” a favorite track, saying his admiration for her work has only grown.

“Just today, I was walking around Manhattan, listening to the new Sabrina Carpenter album,” he says. “I think that she’s such a talent and, I mean, so many clever songs and clever lyrics.” (Of course Carpenter has returned the love in the past, referencing the “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” game in her song “Taste,” from her last album, Short n’ Sweet).

Editor’s picks

Between touring with his band, working on upcoming film projects, and keeping up with new music, Bacon said staying connected is essential — a reality T-Mobile’s SuperMobile is designed to fix.

“What I love about SuperMobile is that it feels like a real solution, not just a promise,” he offers. “It adapts in the moment, it keeps you protected and it works where business really happens — anywhere.”

The plan offers flexibility and reliability for businesses and creatives, adapting in high-demand moments to maintain fast, consistent connectivity, layering in security to protect devices and sensitive data, and extending reach through satellite coverage when traditional networks fall short. According to T-Mobile, SuperMobile is built for today’s mobile workforce — from marketers and media professionals to on-the-go creatives — giving them the tools to stay connected, collaborate seamlessly, and keep projects moving no matter where work takes them.
