Kid Rock delivered a political message during his Freedom 250 Tour and Rock The Country festival, which launched the first weekend of May.
Kid Rock, 55, a vocal backer of President Donald Trump, 79, and aligned with MAGA, took the stage at his traveling Rock The Country festival on May 2 in Bellville, Texas. During his set, the Bawitdaba artist unveiled a pre-recorded video segment that seemed to address the controversy surrounding an unauthorized military flight to Kid Rock’s Nashville, Tennessee, estate, which he has dubbed “The Southern White House.”
Prior to boarding the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter with Hegseth for transport to his show, Kid Rock was shown in the footage stepping off a private aircraft.
The video also featured shots of Trump raising his fist after surviving an assassination attempt during his 2024 presidential campaign stop in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Following the army flyover of his Nashville property earlier this year, an inquiry was initiated in March examining the 101st Airborne pilots involved.
The inquiry was subsequently dropped after Hegseth stepped in to exonerate the pilots of any misconduct. Just last week, Hegseth invited Kid Rock to Fort Belvoir in Virginia for another Apache flight.
Some viewers found Kid Rock’s pre-recorded video troubling, with several criticizing him for the stunt on X.
“Kid Rock better pay for it,it better not be on the TAXPAYERS DIME if it is it’s illegal and Pete Hegseth must resign, no Apache Attack Helicopter can be used to fly d–k Rock around,” an X user wrote.
“This is off-topic, but I just read that [Pete] Hegseth, took his untalented buddy, Kid Rock, on a joy ride on an Apache attack helicopter, costing US TAXPAYERS @$7,000/hr to operate! SICK,” another shared. “How I wish I wasn’t aware of all this corruption! The USA is AILING!!”
One other raged, “Pete Hegseth confirms he took Kid Rock on two Apache helicopter rides with U.S. Army pilots while the country was still processing the WHCA shooting! Why is the US using $$$$$$$ MILLION helicopters for Kid Rock’s amusement?”
