The music scene in the city of Killeen is finally back, and residents couldn’t be happier about it. After a long pause, Space Create Owner-operator and creative visionary Toni Ringold Steele has brought back, by popular demand, the Off the Dome open mic and jam session—an event that many in the community have deeply missed. This gathering now takes place on the third Friday of every month and serves as a welcoming platform for artists of all kinds.
What Is The Off The Dome Event?
Poets, lyricists, visual artists, comedians, dancers, musicians, and true lovers of the arts from across the city come together to showcase their talents and put their best foot forward. When I spoke with Toni, she made it very clear that this event was not only something the city needed, but something people had been looking forward to seeing return. I couldn’t agree more. If you’ve never attended an Off the Dome event, you are truly in for a treat. It gives artists a safe, supportive space to shine, grow their confidence, and network with like-minded creatives.
Where Is This Event Located?
While the location has changed to Vida Roxy, located at 321 North Gray Street, the vibes remain just as strong—if not stronger. More often than I’d like, I hear people say there’s nothing to do in Killeen. Well, Off the Dome is back and better than ever. Come out, support local talent, enjoy great drinks, great food, and experience even better vibes.
