Kim Kardashian is reportedly ‘done’ with Meghan Markle following Kris Jenner’s James Bond-themed 70th birthday bash, which featured a star-studded guest list that included Prince Harry and the Duchess.
The couple seemed to have had a good time at the celebration, which lasted into the early morning hours. However, days later, images shared by Jenner and Kim Kardashian, showing Harry and Meghan, vanished from social media without any clear reason.
According to an insider, the deletion of these pictures actually reflected a more significant problem brewing behind closed doors.
The insider revealed that Harry and Meghan grew concerned their attendance at the party could be misinterpreted, particularly given Harry’s ongoing attempts to mend his bond with King Charles III. The scheduling also sparked concern, as Kris’ birthday festivities extended into the morning of November 9, the date the U.K. observes Remembrance Day.
Meghan’s absence of the traditional poppy also drew scrutiny on social media. “Once Harry and Meghan left Kris, it dawned on them that they had a major PR headache on their hands,” the source tells Star. The couple subsequently asked Kim and Kris to remove the images from their Instagram accounts.
When the request to remove the photographs arrived, Kris and Kim complied without making any public statement, though the source indicates Kim was dissatisfied with how things unfolded. “She’s never been in this position before, it’s always her calling the shots in these situations. Here she was inviting them past the velvet rope and they repay her by acting like they’re too good to be seen partying with her. It’s a slap in the face – and one she can’t let slide.”
A source revealed, “Meghan’s pretty unapologetic, she says she’s just networking and there’s no sinister agenda going on.”
In a recent conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, Meghan shared her perspective on public perception, stating, “There’s no such thing as perfect. I, too, get to make mistakes.”
She further expressed, “The moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity.”
