Fresh royal drama is reportedly giving Buckingham Palace another headache. New claims linking Sarah Ferguson to Sean “Diddy” Combs have sparked renewed scrutiny around the extended royal family, prompting reports that King Charles and Queen Camilla are deeply uncomfortable with the attention.

As per Closer, the book claims the Duchess of York and the music mogul maintained a private friendship for years. It also includes allegations attributed to former employees and sources connected to both parties.
Those claims have not been independently verified, and Diddy’s representatives have strongly denied them. A spokesperson for the rapper reportedly dismissed the allegations as “utterly ridiculous gossip.”
Still, the book’s release has reportedly caused concern within royal circles. An unnamed source told Closer that senior members of the family were shocked by the headlines and frustrated by another controversy involving people connected to the monarchy. “The sheer volume of stories surfacing about Sarah’s former connections to controversial figures has left senior royals appalled,” the source claimed.
According to the same insider, King Charles and Queen Camilla are particularly unhappy to see Ferguson’s name linked to yet another high-profile scandal after years of fallout connected to ex-Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein. “King Charles and Queen Camilla especially find the whole circus mortifying,” the source alleged.
The renewed attention comes at a sensitive time for the royal family. Charles continues carrying out public duties while undergoing cancer treatment, and the monarchy has spent recent years attempting to move beyond a string of damaging headlines.
Lownie, however, has defended his reporting. Speaking to The Times, the author said he stands by the claims contained in the book and described them as being sourced from former employees connected to both Ferguson and Diddy.
