According to The Telegraph, they logged 420 hours airborne, operating on at least 142 of 279 days. These replaced aging Sikorsky models, announced in June 2024, with a pledge to maximize use amid a Sovereign Grant rise to $167 million for 2025–26.Public scrutiny grew over costs, as 141 journeys hit around $603,000 last year, with environmental impact also taken into consideration.

According to a report by People magazine, Princess Anne topped usage, with 68 landings at her Gatcombe Park estate. Prince William clocked 47 Windsor stops and five to Forest Lodge, his Windsor home with Kate Middleton and kids.Kate flew solo for engagements and joined William on joint trips in 2025.
