King Charles leads the way as royals attend for the Sunday Church service in Sandringham after Christmas celebrations without Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

The monarch, 77, smiled as he firmly shook hands with chaplain Reverend Paul Williams ahead of the service at St Mary Magdalene Church this morning.

Both Prince Edward, 61, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 60 followed shortly behind as they grinned at the crowd waiting for their arrival.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne, 75, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence made their way to the place of prayer as members of the public took photographs.

The Princess Royal’s eldest son was also in attendance, joined by his fiancée Harriet Sperling, as well as, David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon and his daughter Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones.

It comes as the King’s brother Andrew was spotted driving his Range Rover alone near Windsor Castle yesterday as he spent his Christmas away from the family.

The disgraced former duke has continued to be shunned by the firm amid controversy over his close friendship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

And as the royals continued with their festive traditions and events, including being at Sandringham on Christmas, Andrew made no appearance.

But his daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice were in attendance at the church earlier this week in remarkable show of solidarity to the family.

Eugenie, 35, was all smiles as she followed King Charles and Queen Camilla, 78, into the church on December 25.

Beatrice, 37, was accompanied by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi as His Majesty appeared to send the message that they are not ‘guilty by association’.

Eugenie was accompanied by her husband Jack Brooksbank, Princess Anne, and Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

The appearance of Eugenie and Beatrice came after they were both absent from Kate’s carol concert at Westminster Abbey on December 5.

Royal sources claimed at the time that the sisters were touched by an invite that was extended to them, but were both unable to join because of previous commitments.

The Mail on Sunday previously revealed the two sisters faced a ‘tug-of-love’ dilemma after being invited by the King to spend Christmas at his private Norfolk estate.

Sources said the Princesses were struggling as they felt equally loyal to the King and to the institution as well as their parents.

Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have been exiled from the royal brood amid the scandal surrounding their friendship with convicted sex offender Epstein.

Earlier this month, a trove of 300,000 documents relating to the US government revealing the sickening scenes at Epstein’s properties.

Among the files was a bombshell photograph of Prince Andrew, in a black suit and bow tie, lying across five women, smiling with his face near the bare legs of one.

The snap was taken in one of the Royal Family’s most treasured rooms at the Sandringham Estate where the likes of the King, William and Kate will often watch TV, play games or enjoy afternoon tea there over Christmas.

In the snap, Epstein’s grinning pimp Ghislaine Maxwell stands behind Andrew, alongside another unidentified woman who has had a black box put over her face by the US Department of Justice.

Despite there being no context to the picture, it raised fresh questions over what the disgraced royal knew about Epstein and the billionaire paedophile’s sex-trafficking girlfriend as he brought them into the Royal Family’s inner sanctum.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.
