King Charles has turned Windsor Castle into a very regal setting
for a film premiere as he welcomed some of the biggest showbiz
stars to his ancient home.
The King, with Queen Camilla at his side, threw open the doors
of the longest occupied castle in Europe, for a glittering night
celebrating the premiere of Finding Harmony – A King’s Vision, the
show he has helped create for Amazon Prime.
The film, made with The King’s Foundation, is a focus on the
long standing work of King Charles to protect the natural
world.
And as the environment was at the heart of this project, King
Charles and Queen Camilla made sure their guests walked a green
carpet, rather than the traditional red seen at bis showbiz
events.
They were following the trend set by Prince William who has
always used a green carpet for the Earthshot Prize ceremonies.
Queen Camilla also matched her dress to the theme, arriving in
striking full length green velvet evening coat over a forest green
trouser suit. The King was in Windsor uniform, a special type of
formal dress worn by male members of the Royal Family in the famous
castle.
The King and Queen were joined by a host of big names for the
event, including Kate Winslet, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Rod
Stewart and Dame Judi Dench.
Guests were welcomed to a special cinema, set up for one night
only in the historic Waterloo Chamber at Windsor Castle.
There, they saw the premiere of Finding Harmony – A King’s
Vision which sets out Charles III’s personal beliefs about the
environment in full detail.
In the movie, King Charles says that “It all boils down to the
fact that we are actually nature ourselves, we are a part of it,
not apart from it, which is really how things are being presented
for so long.”
The King and Queen were also joined by other members of the
Royal Family for the premiere which comes ahead of the launch of
the film on Amazon Prime next month.
The Duchess of Edinburgh was in bright green for the event,
choosing a satin dress with long sleeves. The Duke and Duchess of
Gloucester were also there with a subtle nod to flying the flag.
The Duchess carried a handbag designed a Union Jack.
