KISS star Paul Stanley has shared what he hopes the new generation of musicians does and avoids.
The rock star, who is the lead vocalist of the band that has ruled for decades, attended the Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party on January 31 where he spoke about upcoming music stars.
While attending the event with his wife Erin Sutton Stanley, Paul shared his hopes for the new artists to embrace playing instruments, saying he would “like to see people playing instruments”.
Speaking to PEOPLE, he said “I’d like to see people relying less on computers and technology and relying more on passion.”
Commenting on the current music scene that is heavily reliant on computerised songs and electronic mixes, Paul said “Music is passion”.
Paul has previously commented on KISS’ discography saying “It’s really funny because some of those songs, some of our songs are not really age-appropriate anymore”.
The 2020s have been heavily infiltrated by pop music impacted by synth-pop and edm style tracks that heavily rely on computerised music-mixing.
