Riding on the blockbuster success of “KPop Demon Hunters,” the summer’s hit animated movie that featured the musical talent of its members, South Korean girl group Twice has extended its forthcoming world tour to North America.
The “Likey” hitmakers had already planned to launch their “This is For” tour in Bulacan, Philippines on Saturday, Oct. 4. Now, after a string of international shows, the nine-member group is scheduled to launch their North American leg in Vancouver on Jan. 9, before heading down to Oakland Arena on Jan. 22.
Twice – composed of members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu – will then continue across the country, wrapping up in Austin on April 17 before traveling to Europe and Asia.
Ticket presales start at 11 a.m. Oct. 9. General sales begin at 3 p.m. the same day.

During North American stops, for the first time ever, the nine-member group plans to perform on a 360 degree stage, offering fans a clear view of their performance from all angles.
Twice was already one of K-pop’s leading groups, gaining international momentum as early as 2016 with their hit single “Cheer Up.” Their association with “K-Pop Demon Hunters” only amplified that reach, particularly through Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung’s standout rendition of “Takedown” on the film’s soundtrack.Last year, Twice became the first female K-pop group to headline both MLB and NFL stadiums and, two years prior, the first female K-pop group to headline a U.S. stadium.
The group’s forthcoming tour is named after its fourth studio album, which debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in July. Shortly after, they became the first female K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Twice will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in October, just in time for its monumental tour.
