Actress Arden Cho married orthopedic surgeon Christopher Lee over the weekend in Florence, Italy
“It was everything I had hoped for and more,” Cho raved to Vogue
The couple met on a dating app and got engaged on March 31, 2025
KPop Demon Hunters star Arden Cho is married!
The 40-year-old actress, who starred in Partner Track and Teen Wolf, tied the knot with orthopedic surgeon Christopher Lee, per Vogue. The wedding took place at Villa Cora in Florence, Italy, over the weekend of June 27 and included a hanbok welcome party, two wedding ceremonies and a lively reception.
“We fell in love with Florence and wanted the weekend to feel like a beautiful vacation where everyone could slow down, celebrate, and make memories together,” Cho told the magazine. “Italy is special to us, not only because of the food and culture, but because this is where I decided he was my person. It became less about the event itself and more about bringing all of our favorite people together in one magical place.”
She added, “I never imagined a wedding could truly feel like a fairy tale, but somehow it did. It was everything I had hoped for and more.”

The destination wedding was seamlessly planned by Nancy Park and Paean “Pae” Wang at So Happi Together, but the days leading up to the celebration came with some challenges. From losing their baggage to having to push back their traditional Korean pyebaek ceremony due to delayed and canceled family flights and a “record-breaking heat wave,” Cho was “in tears” at one point thinking that her “wedding weekend was already falling apart.” Luckily, they overcame every obstacle just in time.
“Looking back, this is what made the weekend so special — life isn’t perfect, but the people in our lives came together to make it feel like it was,” Cho told Vogue. “In Korean, there’s a saying, “액땜했다,” which roughly means that a small hardship spares you from a much bigger one. That’s exactly how we choose to remember our wedding weekend.”
Lee chimed in, “In many ways, it felt like the perfect beginning to our marriage. We learned that even when things don’t go according to plan, we can face them together — with the love and support of the people around us — and still end up with something even more beautiful than we imagined.”
The couple has kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight. It wasn’t until Vogue‘s exclusive that Cho even publicly revealed her now-husband’s name.
Despite having both lived in Los Angeles for nearly two decades, Cho and Lee never crossed paths in person. Cho told Vogue they met “exactly when we were supposed to” — on a dating app.
The couple got engaged on Maui in March 2025. Cho revealed the happy news the following month, sharing photos and a video from the romantic beach proposal.
“Spoiler alert: I said yes! 💍,” Cho wrote on Instagram. “Life’s wild, love is wilder. He fixes bones 🦴, I tell stories 🎬. He’s the calm to my chaos—the steady hand in my whirlwind life. Thank you for surprising me with the most magical night in my favorite place. 🌺 We found our way to forever, together. 3.31.25.”
She then told her proposal story in the caption, which began with Lee ensuring she didn’t discover her engagement ring early at the airport.

“Cut to: Me at the airport, low-key upset because he bailed on me to go through TSA PreCheck while I was stuck in the CLEAR line. Normally, he always wants to go together, so I was like, ‘Okay, I guess I’ll see you in the lounge? 🙄, weirdo,’ ” Cho wrote. “Turns out, he wasn’t being weird—he was nervously smuggling a ring through security like a dorky little spy, worried I’d spot it. (I was suspicious when he texted my friend about “her surprise birthday dinner,” and now it all makes sense.).”
She continued, “I was so sure he didn’t have a ring—glad to be wrong this time. Thank you for all the efforts, from baby and my friends.. I’m a lucky gal! Bad actor, but I love him even more for it. ❤️.”

Three days after announcing her engagement, Cho shared on Instagram that she and Lee had “already started wedding planning,” and sought advice on how to choose a wedding planner.
“Still on cloud 9 🤍 thank you everyone for the love!” she wrote on April 11, 2025. “We’ve already started wedding planning.. But serious question, how do you choose your planner? We’ve had so many talented people reach out? I’ve produced so many shoots like this one with my team in Korea, I’ll definitely hand the baton over for my wedding since I’ll be filming a couple movies and be pretty busy but… I already have so many parts decided and people who want to be involved… friends who’ve been married, any advice?”
Then in February, Cho told PEOPLE that she’d be getting married in Italy and revealed that she was on the search for the perfect wedding dress.
Cho explained at the time that she wanted a wedding dress that was “beautiful but also comfortable.” She ultimately decided on a custom Vera Wang gown for her ceremony and a custom Natalya Valentine mini dress for her reception, per Vogue.
