Kristen Bell appears to have had some sexual regrets before marrying Dax Shepard.
“Kristen is a little regretful. She was very active,” Shepard, 50, shared on the Monday, September 29, episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast. “She was very sexually active, and she wishes she was even more sexually active.”
Bell, 45, didn’t object before explaining her feelings in her own unique way.
“I just wish I butterflied around a little bit more,” she added while serving as a guest alongside her Nobody Wants This costar Justine Lupe.
During the light-hearted chat, Shepard and his podcast cohost, Monica Padman, asked the former Veronica Mars actress how sexually active she was in her younger years.
On a scale of one to 10 —- with one being a “virgin” and 10 being almost like a “sex worker” — Bell said she was a “four” in her young 20s.
“I just wish I maybe would have gone six,” she added.
When Lupe, 36, rated herself as a six, the costars gave each other a high five before sharing a laugh.

“[Shepard] “brought out a ton of sexuality,” Bell said. “I was never this sexual before you.”
Bell and Shepard first met at a Hollywood party in 2007. Although they were engaged by 2010, they wanted to wait to get married until marriage equality was achieved.
The couple — who share daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10 — later eloped at a Beverly Hills courthouse in October 2013.
Throughout their marriage, both Shepard and Bell have been open about maintaining a strong connection under the Hollywood spotlight. One of their secrets may just be revealed in what they think about each other’s steamy on-screen sex scenes.
“Foundational trust,” Bell told E! News in February. “Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he’s committed to our family. I know he’s coming home. I know he loves our children. I know he strives to be a great husband and father.”
If any insecurity was to ever surface with either party, Bell is confident they would have a healthy conversation and work through it.
“We’re just human, right?” she continued. “Maybe there could be a day where I’m like, ‘I’m actually really nervous that you spend time with that person.’ And he could say, ‘Oh, OK, let’s talk about it. What makes you nervous? What are you thinking?’ We have a very open communication.”
Although there are no signs of trouble, Shepard previously admitted that if his marriage to Bell came to an end, he would still feel incredibly proud of what they accomplished together.

“I say this all the time, like, if Kristen and I ever split up, I would only describe this as still an enormously successful relationship,” he said on the September 8 episode of his “Armchair Expert” podcast. “Like, we loved each other to death. We had these two beautiful children. We had this great time together.”
And the great times are expected to continue after Shepard recently marked 21 years of sobriety this month.
Bell marked the milestone by writing via Instagram, “I am eternally grateful to have you. We all are 💕.”
