Kristen Bell’s Preteens Daughters Tried To Stop Her From Wearing a ‘Too Sexy’ Red Carpet Dress

Kristen Bell recently heated up the red carpet in a sexy, lacy red dress — despite her preteen daughters’ protests. The mom of two revealed her daughters did not approve of her “too sexy” gown at the Season 2 premiere of “Nobody Wants This,” and we’re glad she didn’t listen!

“My kids told me it was too sexy to wear out of the house,” The Good Place actress revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood, referring to daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, who she shares with husband Dax Shepard.

“They said, ‘You can’t wear that,’” she continued. “I said ‘Watch me!’”

The jaw-dropping silky gown featured an asymmetrical hemline with a plunging neckline, sheer lace cutouts, and a low back. She paired it with black heels and wore her hair in loose waves around her shoulders. She looked absolutely gorgeous!

Bell and Shepard have encouraged honesty and open communication in their house. In an interview with E! News last year, the Gossip Girl alum opened up about how difficult that can make things.

“It requires a lot of brain power,” Bell said, “because you have to filter what’s appropriate for their age group, what isn’t going to scare them too much, but just maybe enough. You have to make all these quick calls, all these blank decisions, and it’s hard.”

But they do their best to stick to facts. “One kid asked us and Dax started explaining the sperm meets the ovum,” Bell recalled. “And truly, within 30 seconds, she had walked outside because she was so bored. So it’s worked in our favor, and we’re going to keep it up as long as we can.”

The communication style has worn off on her girls who had no problem telling their mom what to wear. We love confident queens (even if their mama doesn’t always listen)!
