Lady Gaga had to postpone her third Miami show on her 2025 “Mayhem Ball” tour at the last minute due to doctor’s orders.
The “Poker Face” singer abruptly canceled her performance at the Kaseya Center on Wednesday, Sept. 3 shortly before she was set to take the stage, according to PEOPLE.
Videos on social media showed fans pouring out the arena after being informed of the last-minute postponement.
Gaga said in her Instagram story that night that she was at risk of causing “permanent damage” to her vocal cords.
“Hi everyone. I am really so so sorry, but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami. During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight, my voice was extremely strained and both my Dr. and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses,” she wrote.
“I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you, but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,” Gaga continued. “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night — and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision, I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice.”
The pop superstar went on to offer her “sincerest apologies” to her fans “for any disappointment, let down [or] inconvenience.”
“I am so so sorry. I tried so hard to avoid this. I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show,” Gaga wrote. “I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology. We are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.”
The Kaseya Center also confirmed that show’s postponement on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, tonight’s performance of The MAYHEM Ball has been postponed,” the venue wrote. “Information on the rescheduled date and the process for refunds will be issued soon.”
Gaga kicked off her “Mayhem Ball” tour in July, which is in support of her new album “MAYHEM” that dropped in March.
The tour included stops in five U.S. cities including Las Vegas, Seattle, New York City, Chicago and Miami.
The next stop on the “Mayhem Ball” tour is Friday, Sept. 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
