Landman Season 2 finally has a release date set. The popular Taylor Sheridan series was renewed for a second season in March 2025 by Paramount+. Originally debuting on Paramount+ in November 2024, the show stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris alongside a talented supporting cast that includes Andy Garcia, Demi Moore, Michael Randolph, and many more.
Billy Bob Thornton-led Landman Season 2 releases in November
According to a report by Variety, Landman Season 2 is dropping on Paramount+ on November 16, 2025, one year after the first season made its debut.
Created and written by Taylor Sheridan, Landman became a huge hit on Paramount+, becoming one of the most-watched series on the streaming platform. Apart from Thornton, Moore, and the other stars reprising their roles, Sam Elliott has also joined the cast of Landman Season 2 as a series regular.
The filming for Season 2 started in April 2025 and was expected to conclude by August. Speaking about the second season with The Hollywood Reporter in June 2025, Thornton added, “I loved it. Taylor knows this show very well, he’s got a vision for it, so it’s pretty easy. I didn’t expect to read it and go, ‘Wait a minute, hang on here.’ It was great.” He also shared his views on Elliott joining the cast and said, “It’s been awesome, I’ve known Sam since the ’80s, so he and I go way back.”
Billy Bob Thornton also spoke to Collider around the same time as his interview with THR, and spoke further about reuniting with Elliott, with whom he featured in Sheridan’s 1883 series. The actor stated, “[Elliott’s] always been a mentor and a hero of mine. I love the guy, we have a real special relationship in real life anyway. It’s so good to see him. He lights my day up.”
