Landmark Credit Union Live, Milwaukee’s Newest Music Venue, Is Here

After years of anticipation and contention, Milwaukee’s newest music venue – dubbed Landmark Credit Union Live – has finally landed in the Deer District. Opening Feb. 27 with Rainbow Kitten Surprise, the mid-sized hall with an estimated $70 million price tag could shake up the local concert landscape as we know it.

Check out a tasting experience unlike any other – featuring nine Milwaukee chefs from the best restaurants in the city.

“We commonly say that artists hit Chicago, then Minneapolis, but sometimes skip Wisconsin – and this venue helps cement Milwaukee on the national touring map,” says Joel Plant, CEO of Madison-based operator Frank Productions.

Size is one reason. Its 4,500-person capacity, made up of a standing general admission pit and reserved seating, is more than the Miller High Life Theatre and The Rave. But if Landmark Live brings more bands to Cream City, it’s likely due to Live Nation. The corporate giant owns a majority stake in Frank Productions and holds exclusivity over many popular artists, one reason why other local venues pushed back on the project.

But what does the new venue mean for concertgoers? Likely more shows. Plant says Landmark Live will host more than 70 events a year, including but not limited to concerts in genres like indie rock, EDM, hip-hop, jazz, punk and more.
