LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – I think my favorite part about artists is the way they expose themselves in the work they produce. It’s not hard to see that Quentin Tarantino is a frenetically paced individual who looks at the world with his head tilted sideways. It’s not a surprise that Stephen King is deeply passionate about specific things, battled personal demons for the better part of his younger years, and has an insatiable thirst for the written word. It’s not a stretch to learn that Ashton Hall is obsessed with color, her heart still sings like that of a child, and she sees beauty everywhere.
I love that she doesn’t stay in one genre for too long. I love that you can find abstracts, impressionism, still life, landscapes, charcoal, pastels, oil, acrylics, HUGE murals, and tiny 1x1s with the familiar Ashton Hall signature somewhere on them.
Ashton’s work can be seen and is for sale at the River City Galleries in La Crosse. Some of her work can be seen through September at the Weber Center as part of the La Crosse Community Theatre’s rotating collection on the balcony. You can also find Ashton on Instagram and Facebook at ashtonhallartist. You can also find prints of her work at ashtonhallartist.darkroom.com
