Latin Music Executive Jochy Rodríguez Starts New Agency

Latin music executive Jochy Rodríguez has launched a new independent agency, Joch Entertainment, he tells Billboard. Rodríguez — who has spent the past nine years as senior vp of promotions and marketing at WK Entertainment — will focus the company’s efforts on marketing, management, consulting and radio promotions.

“This new chapter represents both gratitude and growth,” said Rodríguez in a statement. “After nearly a decade working alongside WK Entertainment, I’m proud to continue collaborating with a team that feels like family, while expanding my vision through Joch Entertainment to empower artists and brands with the same passion that has guided my entire career.”

While maintaining his nearly decade-long partnership with WK Entertainment on select projects, Rodríguez will also spearhead fresh initiatives in collaboration with leading Latin music stars. “I’m proud of seeing Jochy’s evolution as a true industry strategist,” added Walter Kolm, CEO and founder of WK Entertainment. “He has been a vital part of the artist development for WK’s roster and we are looking forward to working with Joch Entertainment in this new exciting chapter.”

With more than 25 years of experience in the music industry, Rodríguez has played a pivotal role in advancing the careers of major Latin music stars, including Maluma, Carlos Vives, Wisin, Prince Royce and Emilia.

Throughout his career, Rodríguez has held leadership positions at Univision, Universal Music Latino, Machete Music and Capitol Latin, and been instrumental in developing promotional and marketing strategies that elevated the global presence of artists including Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin, Karol G, Don Omar and Juanes. He has also worked closely with Wisin’s La Base and WK Records, where he remains a key partner.
