Lauren Sánchez Bezos is still enjoying her Paris era. A few days ago, the former journalist was seen leaving her hotel in the City of Light, where she stepped out in a vintage baby-blue dress from Dior by John Galliano. The beachy look featured a skintight, crochet design and swathes of silver chainmail popping up along the neckline and bottom hem. Now, it appears Mrs. Bezos is swapping her vacation-ready style for something a little more formal.
The children’s book author was seen heading to Le Duc restaurant for a dinner date with husband Jeff Bezos on Tuesday evening, for which she wore a white, halter-style dress from Louis Vuitton.
The sleeveless, mid-length design was defined by flaps of ruffled material which hung like curtains along the sides of her torso.
She accessorized the dress with a pair of platform heels in a similar muted beige, courtesy of Saint Laurent.
But it wasn’t all neutrals. When it comes to Sánchez Bezos, you can trust that she’ll spice up even the dressiest look, and here, she did so with a striking, blood-red top-handle bag.
Ever the fan of a luxury find, she carried a mini croc-skin Babe bag from Dior, a chic novelty piece that features a hidden panel up top, which doubles as a mirror and makeup compartment when you open it up. The model was first dreamed up during the Galliano era.
Sánchez Bezos has employed the power of a red statement bag before, with Bottega Veneta’s Lauren 1980 Intrecciato leather clutch and an accordion foldover bag with a chain handle from Valentino. Of course, her handbag collection doesn’t end there. She also boasts purses from Schiaparelli, Chanel, and lots and plenty of Hermès, of which she has become a serious collector.
Clearly, when it comes to Mrs. Bezos, it’s all about the bag.
