LeAnn Rimes Details Health Issues After Canceling More Shows

LeAnn Rimes announced that she had to cancel more upcoming concerts due to her ongoing health issues.

“After a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows,” the singer, 43, wrote via her Instagram Story on Friday, May 1. “A visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal cords has confirmed the news and I wanted to tell you as soon as I could.”

Waukegan, Illinois and Willmington, Ohio were both affected by the rescheduling. The new dates are scheduled for November 6 and 7, respectively. Ticketholders for the previous dates will remain valid. Refunds are available for those unable to attend the new dates.

“It breaks my heart, having to schedule these shows. There is no place I would rather be next week than celebrating with all of you,” she penned. “However, this is sadly out of my hands until I get this under control.”

While Rimes is disappointed to have to cancel next week’s shows, she noted that she is “looking forward to seeing” her fans soon.

Earlier this week, Rimes announced that she had to cancel two upcoming concerts due to health problems.

“Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week,” she shared via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 29. “I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled. Also, good news as we will be seeing you very soon.”

Rimes’ recent illnesses came shortly after she went viral for a deep jaw release procedure. The 9-1-1: Nashville star was featured in a March video undergoing the self-healing process designed by Human Garage founder Garry Lineham. In the clip, Rimes had an emotional reaction after her jaw was reset.

“You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned,” read the caption from a post shared via Rimes and Lineman. “The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck ‘locks’ to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.”

After the clip went viral, Rimes shut down speculation that her reaction was not genuine.

While Rimes is taking time off to focus on her health now, she has performed through multiple ailments in the past. Last year, the Grammy winner went viral when her teeth fell out mid-concert. (She has been candid about her dental issues caused by her veneers.)

“I look at my pictures from that time, and my face was so different — it was just so swollen,” Rimes said in a July 2025 interview with Flow Space. “Oh, it was awful. I was in chronic pain for, like, two-and-a-half years.”
