However, if there’s one show that managed to defy all expectations and took viewers on an enthralling journey, it is surely Monarchy: Legacy of Monsters. Now, almost two years later, the production company has finally released the much-awaited teaser for the upcoming edition of the aforementioned series, and things are surely going to be more intense this time around.
The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account of Apple TV shared the teaser, giving viewers a glimpse at what the upcoming chapter has in store without revealing too much. The clip begins with a calm and beautiful scene of surfers enjoying the ocean. However, the peace is quickly shattered when something truly bizarre emerges from beneath the sand and starts attacking people. We see people running as the world around them crumbles, paving the way to chaos, panic, and widespread destruction.
As the video moves forward, we catch glimpses of the “Titans” responsible for the mayhem. We see a close-up of King Kong’s face, looking battle-worn and fierce, and the colossal tentacles of another creature tearing a ship apart. These moments effectively showcase the immense power and terror of these monsters without revealing too much. However, the teaser doesn’t shy away from letting everyone know that a major character from season one will be returning for the upcoming edition, and that character is Kurt Russell’s Lee Shaw.
In the ending moments of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 1, we saw Shaw sacrificing himself to save Keiko and the team. It will be interesting to see how they resurrect him and showcase his story. The teaser culminates in the reveal of the show’s title, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, confirming that MonsterVerse will continue with another engaging narrative.
