Following the ongoing “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert,” Paramount has set a similar tour pegged to the 15th anniversary of “The Legend of Korra.”
Produced in partnership with GEA Live and Senbla, “The Legend of Korra In Concert” will begin in January with two concurrent legs, touring across more than 20 cities in the U.S. and 10 cities in Europe. Described by Paramount as a “live-to-picture orchestral experience that “combines live music with cinematic visuals,” the shows will feature high definition projections of major scenes from “The Legend of Korra” in chronological order backed by a symphony that pulls from composer Jeremy Zuckerman’s score. Exclusive merchandise will also be available for purchase at the tour stops.
“The Legend of Korra” premiered on Nickelodeon in 2012 as a sequel to 2005’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” which saw major success with its concert tour. “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” kicked off with sold-out shows in London, Paris, New York and San Francisco in 2024 before expanding to 100 cities across North American, Europe and Asia. In 2025, Paramount, GEA Live and Sebla doubled down on the effort with “Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert – The 20th Anniversary Tour,” which is currently on an 80-city run and features new elements. Combined, the “Last Airbender” tours have sold more than 500,000 tickets.
News of “The Legend of Korra in Concert” comes as Paramount relaunches the “Last Airbender” IP onscreen with “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender,” a film debuting on Paramount+ on July 25. In 2027, Avatar Studios will release its first series, “Avatar: Seven Havens.”
“The music of The Legend of Korra explores a very different emotional and musical landscape than ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender,’ blending orchestral, jazz and electronic influences to reflect Korra’s more modern world,” Zuckerman said in a statement. “Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music, and allows audiences to experience the story in a completely different way.”
“Seeing the global response to ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert’ has been incredibly rewarding. The connection audiences have with this music and these stories is something you can feel in the room,” said Floris Douwes, producer and managing director at GEA Live, and Ollie Rosenblatt, CEO at Senbla. “That experience made it clear there was a real appetite for more, and ‘The Legend of Korra In Concert’ felt like the natural next step. There is strong crossover appeal with the ‘Avatar’ franchise yet, it has its own tone and musical identity.”
“As the Avatar Legends universe continues to evolve, we’re focused on creating experiences that are as bold and immersive as the stories themselves,” said Marie Marks, senior vice president and head of global experiences at Paramount. “’The Legend of Korra In Concert’ invites fans to step inside Korra’s world through powerful live music, bringing the story off the screen and into a dynamic, unforgettable
adventure for audiences around the world.”
