For almost a decade, their unique sound has been missing from the stage, leaving a giant, inflatable bear-sized hole in the hearts of music lovers. Now, just when you thought the ‘90s revival could not get any better, one iconic group has officially announced they’re getting the band back together.
Welsh rock legends Super Furry Animals, famous for hits like “Something 4 The Weekend” and “Northern Lites,” officially announced Monday that they are reuniting for a tour in 2026 to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of their first album, Fuzzy Logic. This marks their first major tour in nearly a decade, and their first full return since the band went on hiatus in 2010, according to BBC.
The band first sent fans into a frenzy with a cryptic Instagram post featuring a video of an artist crafting a large, mysterious image in the sand on a Welsh beach, with a simple caption: “Announcement coming at 10am.” The comments section immediately lit up with hopeful speculation and excitement.
“Oh YESSSS! New album pleaaase???” Wrote one eager fan.
“This next hour is going to be so slow!!!” Wrote a second, while another fan added, “Finished a night shift and am knackered but I’m waiting up for this.”
Right on schedule, the official announcement landed, complete with a vibrant tour poster confirming the Supacabra 2026 Tour. Within hours the post racked up thousands of likes, with immediate overjoyed reactions from fans all over the world.

Kicking off in Dublin on May 6, 2026, the six-date tour will then hit Glasgow, Llandudno, and Manchester, and will include a massive homecoming show in Cardiff on May 16. The tour will wrap up in London at the O2 Brixton Academy on May 22.
To make the announcement even sweeter, the band is also releasing a 20th-anniversary reissue of their 2005 album Love Kraft, which will include previously unreleased tracks.
Super Furry Animals consists of members Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, Guto Pryce, and frontman Gruff Rhys. The group formed in Cardiff in 1993 and became a significant force in the “Cool Cymru” music scene with their critically acclaimed premiere album, Fuzzy Logic, in 1996, Manchester Evening News reports.
