Wedding bells are ringing for Zendaya. No, not those kinda-sorta-maybe-who-knows ones with Spider-Man. We’re talking the twisty on-screen ones with Batman.
The dark romantic comedy “The Drama” stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a Boston couple whose wedding plans get derailed when one of them drops a huge, potentially deal-breaking reveal. That controversial film as well as the animated sequel “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” are now in theaters. Meanwhile TV’s also gearing up in April: Hulu’s “Handmaid’s Tale” sequel spinoff, “The Testaments,” is part of a big spring season of shows, plus Jon Hamm’s back for another season of “Your Friends & Neighbors.”

See Zendaya and Robert Pattinson get awkward in controversial ‘The Drama’
Charlie (Robert Pattinson) and Emma (Zendaya) have their wedding week derailed by a piece of info getting out in “The Drama.”
In the dark rom-com “The Drama,” Robert Pattinson and Zendaya play a modern couple whose wedding week is going pretty well until one of them drops a nuclear truth bomb that threatens to derail their entire relationship. And hoo, boy, it is a doozy, one of those “wow, they really went there” twists. But it leads to a thoughtful movie that asks really big questions with a satirical edge and an impressively brazen streak. (Peep my ★★★ review.)
Given the popularity of both Zendaya and Pattinson, there’s a good chance teens will want to go see “The Drama.” My bud Patrick Ryan put together a parent’s guide for what Moms and Dads should know. (Also, spoiler alert: It gets into what the reveal is because its subject matter could be triggering for youngsters.)
Get your kids prepped for video-game sequel ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’

Mario and Luigi are back, baby! Those popular video-game plumbers battle bad guys and team with princesses again in “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” an animated sequel to the mega-hit 2023 film. Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) face a fresh foe – Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), son of villainous Bowser (Jack Black) – and find a new ally in Yoshi (Donald Glover) and Rosalina (Brie Larson). Patrick also wrote up a parent’s guide for this one, too, because little kids are going to be begging for more “Mario.”
If you’re looking to stay closer home for new movies, there’s a bunch of stuff that’s now streaming on your favorite services like the Chris Hemsworth/Halle Berry team-up “Crime 101,” college comedy “Pizza Movie” and the horror sequel “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.”

Even if you’ve never actually watched the Apple TV+ series “Your Friends & Neighbors,” you’ve probably still seen it – via that meme of Jon Hamm dancing in the club that’s ubiquitous on TikTok and Instagram. My colleague Erin Jensen talked with Hamm about his viral moment – “I’m happy that it was that rather than a clip of me falling on my ass” – as well as Season 2 of his show (now streaming) and the possibility of a Bad Bunny cameo.
