Lil Tjay is taking promotion into his own hands, calling out some of the internet’s biggest streamers to tap into his latest release.
Shortly dropping his fourth studio album They Just Ain’t You on Friday (May 1), the Bronx rapper flooded his Instagram Stories with messages tagging creators directly, aimed at getting them to promote the new project. In one post, he tagged DDG with the blunt request, “React to that album boi.” Another message nudged Plaqueboymax to check it out, writing, “Might as well react too [sic] the album too since we cool now.”
He also called out N3on, asking, “Where that reaction at,” as he continued pushing for visibility across streaming platforms.

Tjay appeared to have a sense of humor about the whole thing, even sharing a TikTok created by a fan page of N3on giving a hyperbolic reaction to the music.
Released on May 1, They Just Ain’t You is Tjay’s first independent project under his own label, TrenchKid Records.
Outside of the music, Tjay has also been addressing recent headlines involving Offset. When asked about their rumored issues following a shooting at a casino in Florida, he downplayed any tension.
“I ain’t got no beef for nobody, brother,” he said, before immediately pivoting back to promoting his new album.
The comments come after a shooting incident involving Offset last month, which Tjay was initially linked to — though he has repeatedly denied any involvement. He’s since maintained that he’s unclear on what exactly happened that night, while his legal team has emphasized that his case is unrelated to any shooting.
Offset, for his part, briefly responded online during their back-and-forth before later shifting focus to his recovery.
