She’s the comeback girl of the moment, and fans cannot get enough. Lindsay Lohan hopped on Instagram on Thursday, August 14 to thank her guitar coach for both Freaky Friday and Freakier Friday, Amir Derakh, and fans want her to take her music farther.
Amir is credited with teaching both Lindsay and her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis how to play the six-string for their roles in the films. She even told Jimmy Kimmel in July that she had to “up her game” for the sequel because the solos were more difficult, and it was Amir who helped her through it.
Lindsay thanked Amir for being an “incredible coach,” noting that he “made every lesson feel like a jam session!”
Fans raced to the comments to beg Lohan to release an album, go on tour, and just generally expand her musical prowess.
One fan wrote, “I’ve been waiting all my life for the Pink Slip world tour!” referencing the fictional rock band fronted by Lindsay’s character, Anna Coleman. Another added, “Imagine Lindsay Lohan on a WORLD TOUR.”
Others implored her for a new album, with comments like, “Please go to studio and record a new album already, queen! Don’t make your fans wait another forever,” “Get us a new album!!” and, “we are waiting for a new album.”
Lindsay is no stranger to the recording studio, having released two albums already — Speak in 2004 and A Little More Personal (Raw) in 2005. She’s also contributed songs to several of her movie soundtracks, including Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and Herbie: Fully Loaded.
If she does decide to make more music, maybe Amir will come along for the ride? He commented on her Instagram post, saying, “Aweeee you’re soooo sweet Linds!!! ❤️ Thank you for being so damn talented !!! We make a great team! Until next time.”
