A source close to the production stated that “this isn’t just another role.” Instead, they described the film as Lohan’s “last shot at a Hollywood return.”
The source alleged that if the “Freaky Friday” sequel does not turn out to be a “hit,” the Disney icon will be “done.” The #ShuterScoop report also stated that although Lohan has given a strong performance, the film might still struggle at the box office. A reviewer said, “It leans too heavily on the original.” They explained that “Freakier Friday” is “fun,” but it is “thin.” The reviewer stated that Lohan is the “best thing in it.”
